The Psalms have a place of special importance as Messianic proofs in the preaching of both Jesus and the first disciples.

Luke 24:44 "This is what I told you when I was still with you: Everything must be fulfilled that is written about me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets and the Psalms".

Session 1

Introduction, and Messiah's First Coming

The Psalms are the Jewish hymnbook, but they also contain prophecy. They confirm the deity and humanity of Messiah. Jesus/Yeshua fulfilled a number of prophecies in His first coming.

Due to Technical difficulties and Operator error the recording of this session was limited to a poor quality audio file (microphone used was located on the other side of the room from Paul Cohen's position within the church).

Session 2

Messiah and the Cross

Psalm 22 is the key to prophecy concerning the cross. So much detail was written centuries before crucifixion was invented. Psalms 69 and 89 add other insights to the rejection and suffering of Messiah.

Session 3

Messiah's Resurrection and Ascension

Messiah suffered and died, but He did not see corruption. He rose from the dead and ascended, to sit at the right hand of the Father. And it was all there in the Psalms!

Session 4

Messiah's Second Coming and the Setting Up of the Kingdom

Messiah's Kingdom will be earthly. A kingdom requires a King, a defined geographical area and a people. Messiah will reign in Zion - over all the earth. "From the river to the ends of the earth!" So kiss the Son - or lick the dust!
